Lomonosov Moscow State University is glad to share the student documentary short film “Dostoevsky through the Eyes of the World”, in which leading Dostoevsky scholars from different countries of the world took part. As part of the 150-year commemoration of Dostoevsky’s novel The Devils (Demons/The Possessed), IDS members Tatyana Kovalevskaya, Sarah Hudspith, and Carol Apollonio are featured on a BBC program discussing the novel, which will be broadcast November 4: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3ct1rm1, and subsequently will be available for streaming at BBC World Service – The Forum, 04/11/2021 GMT.
On July 12, 2021, NADS members Deborah Martinsen (Columbia University) and Carol Apollonio (Duke University) were awarded the “Dostoevsky Star,” a medal commemorating the Dostoevsky Bicentennial.
Digital Dostoevsky is a new digital humanities project that is doing computational text analysis on Dostoevsky’s corpus. It is supported by a major grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, hosted at the University of Toronto, and led by Kate Holland.
