To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Dostoevsky, a number of various events were held in Tomsk in 2021.
- The book Geopolitical Map and Worldview of F.M. Dostoevsky included in the series “Sourcesand Methodsin the Study of the Heritage of F.M. Dostoevsky in Russian and World Culture” was published. Tomsk: Tomsk State University Press, 2021.

The presentation of the book was held on the 26th of October and broadcast on the famous Russian TV channel “Cultura”

At the end of 2021, the book was also awarded the Diploma in the competition of the Russian Political Science Association, the category “Interdisciplinary research”.

- In January 2021, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Dostoevsky’s birth, Tomsk State University held a reading aloud marathon. The team of 152 participants from 8 countries (Russia, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, the USA, Israel, and China) read aloud The Gambler nonstop.

- Dostoevsky was never in Tomsk. However, his bicentennial stipulated the scholars of Tomsk State University to explore the links that Dostoevsky himself or his relatives and acquaintances could have with this Siberian town.
